Victor Osimhen’s goal scoring prowess has earned him praise from the UEFA Europa League.
The 21-year-old, who moved to Napoli this summer for a club record began his career with six goals in two matches.
During the Partenopei’s training camp at Castel di Sangro, the Nigerian netted a hat-trick in the 11-0 friendly win over Italian fourth division side L’Aquila before hitting another three against Teramo last Friday.
UEFA Europa League posted on its official twitter handle: “Two games, six goals Fire. Another pre-season game, another hat-trick for Victor Osimhen.”
Napoli will compete in the Europa League next season after failing to qualify for the UEFA Champions League with a sixth place finish in the 2019/2020 Italian Serie A.
Osimhen, who netted 18 goals for Lille last season in all competitions, will make his competitive debut for Napoli on September 19 when the 2020/2021 Serie A season returns.
